Global Capabilities
The U.S. Armed Forces had just successfully launched Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Kuwait desert was the primary staging area for troops bound for Iraq. Camps that would become home to thousands of American soldiers for the foreseeable future began to emerge from the desert. AAFES, acting on its mission to provide services to deployed troops, determined Internet access would be an important part of the quality-of-life support services it would bring to Kuwait.
RESOLUTE was contacted about establishing a CyberZone Internet Cafe at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. In only eight weeks we were able to get the first soldiers on the Net, sending email, playing games, and sending web cam pictures back home.
In the middle of the desert, we provisioned broadband Internet connections via satellite, sourced and erected air conditioned portable buildings, plugged in generators and power supplies, constructed interior fixtures, configured and installed our first 90 computers. We were open for business.
At the end of 120 days we had installed nearly 400 computers in Kuwait. Today, we operate CyberZone Internet and recreational computer centers at camps including Ali Al Saleem, Arifjan, Virginia, Buerhing, Kuwait Naval Base and Navistar.
While the conditions on military bases in the US may not be quite as difficult, we have successfully navigated a host of obstacles while coordinating varied installations from Hawaii to Virginia and from Washington to Mississippi. We also currently operate a number of CZee CyberZones in Germany.
We know our way around military installations. We know what it takes to get things done. And if we can deliver our premium services in Kuwait, we can deliver anywhere in the world.
