Resolute Partners and AAFES Team up to Help Troops Stay in Touch with Family and Friends on Christmas Day by Providing Free Internet Access
SOUTHINGTON, CT: December 18, 2009 – There’s no place like home during the holidays and for US Troops stationed in Iraq and Kuwait who can’t be there this year, Internet service provider Resolute Partners and the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) are continuing the tradition of providing free Internet access on Christmas Day.
Access to email and web chat will be provided through the seven Internet Cafes locations in Iraq and Kuwait know as CZee CyberZones with more than 300 computer terminals. Each Internet Café features dozens of PCs with web browsers, web cams and even on-line games. The cafes are similar to those the troops are familiar with from their bases back home, and provide a much appreciated link with home when they arrive ‘downrange.’
Normally, there is a per-minute charge for internet usage at CZee CyberZone Internet Cafes. For this holiday event, a special access code will be posted in the internet cafes allowing free access for the 24-hour period starting Christmas morning.
Michael Blanco, CEO of Resolute Partners said, “We are happy to partner with AAFES to offer this gesture of thanks to our customers for their service to our country. And we’d also like to wish everyone serving in Iraq and Kuwait a happy holiday and a safe return home.”
